Senior Java Server Engineer

Ogmento currently has an opening for a Senior Java Server Engineer for designing and implementing our backend infrastructure. Working closely with our game designers, the server engineer will implement Ogmento’s online game logic and will make sure our servers can scale fast and perform well.

Candidate will be responsible for:

  • - Developing scalable and performance-critical server-side software (e.g. caching, persistence)
  • - Designing, coding and testing servers in Java
  • - Designing and implementing games mechanisms
  • - Designing and implementing APIs

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • - BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalnet
  • - 3+ years of server-side Java development experience
  • - OO design skills and understanding of design patterns
  • - High coding standards and development practices
  • - Good social skills and a positive attitude

Senior Game Engine Engineer (New York, NY and Los Angeles, LA)

Ogmento currently has an opening for a Senior Game Engine Engineer with experience in C++ programming, as well as developing in 3D “under the hood” of a legacy game engine. Working closely with our game developers, the Senior Game Engine Engineer will plan and implement Ogmento’s support for 3D.

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • - M.Sc./B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • - 3+ years development experience in C++
  • - Experience in developing "low level" for game engines. Unity3D native in particular.
  • - Experience in 3D programming, OpenGL/OpenGLES
  • - Experience in the development of gaming components (i.e., particle systems, 3D effects, collision detection, etc.)

Bonus experience:

  • - Experience in C++ for mobile phones and Linux
  • - Experience in developing frameworks and object oriented design
  • - Proven record in designing algorithms, from tight processing loops to large scale system design
  • - Background in content creation tools for 3D games (Maya, 3DS, SoftImage, etc.)
  • - Mathematical skills in 2D/3D geometry and linear algebra

Senior Computer Vision Engineer (New York, NY)

Ogmento currently has an opening for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer with strong industry experience and academic background in 3D camera pose estimation and tracking. The CV engineer will be responsible for developing tracking algorithms for Ogmento’s core platform and will work closely with most of our other engineers. The algorithms will be designed to maximize portability and performance for mobile devices.

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • - Ph.D./M.Sc. in Computer Science with practical thesis related to pose estimation
  • - 3+ years core development experience in C++ at the industry
  • - Experience in developing tracking/camera pose estimation from a single camera

Bonus experience:

  • - Experience in C++ for mobile phones and Linux
  • - Experience in developing frameworks and extensive understanding of object oriented design
  • - Proven record in designing algorithms, from tight processing loops to large scale system design
  • - Mathematical skills in multiple view geometry and linear algebra
  • - Experience with researching new technologies through the literature and other sources

Senior Mobile Game Engineer (New York, NY & Los Angeles, CA)

Ogmento currently has an opening for a Mobile Game Engineer. Candidate should have experience with development and deployment on mobile phones. iPhone OS and Android based phones are of particular interest. The candidate will implement cutting-edge games, deploy and test them, and coordinate with artists, designers, and other programmers.

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • - B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree/work experience
  • - 2+ years of experience developing mobile phone applications and UI
  • - Experience in developing and deploying games on Android based phones and/or iPhone, with at least one commercial game
  • - Experience with OpenGL, Unity3D and with content creation tools for 3D games (Maya, 3DS, SoftImage, etc.)
  • - 4+ years game development experience with at least one delivered 3D game

Bonus experience:

  • - OpenGLES experience on iPhone or Android based phones
  • - Experience developing applications with Monetization elements
  • - Game QA experience
  • - Online game development experience
  • - 3D Game development background
